About SimpleBeat Project

Hello!

Welcome to SimpleBeat project web-site.  My name is ILYA, and I started this project in early 2011 as a hobby of mine, just because I like programming.  I do not intend it to be my business or career, since I am working on it in my spare time.  However, there are some goals I do push myself to reach:

• learn the programming language (I am a fan of Apple iOS devices and that is why my choice eventually is Objective-C, but this doesn't mean it's the only one);
• develop healthy programming skills (I mean learn to write clean, easy-to-read, logical, and transparent code, which is going to work reliably and would allow for efficient modifications/bug removal);
• join Apple Dev programs for iOS, and maybe for MacOS (it seems quite reasonable to me to enter those programs almost at the same time and develop for both platforms);
• develop at least 2 apps for iOS or MacOS (the more interesting those would be the better);
• publish at least 2 apps at the AppStore (free or paid, doesn't matter much;  though, I'd probably make it free just to have more feedback).

Now, the trickiest part of all this is my timeframe, which I set as 6 months, starting February 2011.  It seems like (and it actually is) a lot to do in such tight time, but that's exactly the right kind of goal-setting for me I hope, since I can see this far into the future without the whole project becoming one big blurry abstraction.

So, here I start with a promise keeping the blog up-to-date at least once a week, posting my progress, and dedicating pages to my projects related as they appear.  Please, feel free to leave your comments on the 'Contact me' page or after the posts, I'll do my best to keep up with them, as I believe in tremendous value provided by your opinion.
